Slack Automated Communication

Overview

When venue changes are made to an event, an automated Slack notification is sent to the #pn-event-updates channel. This keeps the team informed in real time without any manual communication needed.

Venue Added or Removed

When a venue is added or removed from an event under Operations → Venues, a Slack notification is automatically posted with the following format:

{Event Name} - Venue Update Added:

• {Venue Name} ({Count} {Playing Surface}) Removed: - {Venue Name} ({Count} {Playing Surface}) Total {Playing Surface}: {Total Count}

Football Field Logic

For football events, the Fields Reserved section in the Operations tab displays as Fields Reserved (7v7) and automatically multiplies the entered value by 2 — so if 4 fields are entered, the system displays 8. Non-football events show the standard Fields Reserved label with no multiplication applied.
